Operation Walk Gives Back Locally
OPERATION WALK UTAH GIVES BACK TO THE COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING NO-COST TOTAL HIP AND KNEE REPLACEMENTS TO FIVE LOCAL PATIENTS
For the fifth consecutive year, Operation Walk Utah, in partnership with the Center for Precision Joint Replacement at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center and the Hofmann Arthritis Institute, will perform five total hip and knee replacement surgeries at no cost to uninsured and underinsured patients. The patients were selected by the Operation Walk Utah committee based on the severity of their conditions and the immediate need for surgical treatment.

Aaron Hofmann, M.D., board-certified orthopedic surgeon and director of the Center for Precision Joint Replacement at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center and the Hofmann Arthritis Institute, along with Trevor Magee, M.D. and Jordan Schaeffer, M.D., will perform the surgeries on Saturday. All five of the selected Operation Walk Utah patients will receive surgical procedures, hospitalization, and pre and post-operative care, provided by Hofmann Arthritis Institute and Salt Lake Regional Medical Center. All joint replacement implants are donated by Zimmer Inc. in Warsaw, Indiana and Total Joint Orthopedics in Salt Lake City, Utah.
